CINEMA VISION INDIA

Cinema Vision India (CVI) has played a pivotal role in arousing interest in, and creating awareness about India’s cultural heritage through its epoch-making series, Surabhi , entering the Limca book of Records as India’s longest running television show with the highest ever measured viewership. Through nationally telecast programmes like Surabhi and currently Mano Ya Mano, Mere Humdum Mere Ghost and Bhoomi (Earth), as well as a number of other documentaries and television shows, Cinema Vision India has journeyed across India and other parts of the world, providing a fascinating glimpse into the art, culture and lifestyles of the world’s diverse people. CVI houses its own independent edit suites, computer graphics and animation division, shooting studio, preview studio and camera facilities as well as a state-of-the-art Audio Visual Archive.

SURABHI FORCE

The Surabhi Foundation for Research and Cultural Exchange (Surabhi FORCE) is a non-profit organization, involved in the documentation, preservation and dissemination of India's Cultural Heritage at the National and International level. The Foundation is based on the remarkable success of `Surabhi' (Fragrance) India's longest running cultural series on National Television which features in the Limca Book of Records for receiving the largest measured audience response ever in the history of Indian Television! The Surabhi Foundation has also been the recipient of the US Ambassadors Award for Archiving of Monuments for the year 2004/2005, and has received an endowment of $1 million from the Ford Foundation USA to establish a National Audio-Visual Cultural Archive.

The Surabhi Foundation has been conducting several large scale cultural events since it’s inception. It has organized festivals independently as well as under the aegis of the Mumbai Festival and also in association with the prestigious Navi Mumbai festival. These have been attended by several celebrities, academic dignitaries, folk artists and master craftsmen, receiving footfalls of as many as 10,000 visitors a day. In addition to this, the Foundation has also organized different symposiums, workshops and lecture demonstrations on topics related to Indian heritage, and is currently making a series of documentaries on various facets of Indian culture in collaboration with UNESCO for telecast on the prestigious National Geographic Channel Network and Discovery Channel, India.

The Foundation is currently in the process of creating the world's first theme park based on India - the Living Heritage Centre, in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai.
